EMB-7 tightens monitoring of illegal dumping at SRP

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 has intensified monitoring and coordination efforts against illegal garbage dumping at the South Road Properties (SRP) amid continuing environmental and public health concerns.

The move came as the Cebu City Government faces mounting pressure to address its worsening waste management issue following disruptions in its landfill operations and hauling arrangements.

Officials from the EMB 7 and Cebu City government recently held a high-level technical conference to discuss immediate interventions and long-term waste management solutions for the SRP area.
