OnePlus has been in a rapid downward spiral over the past few months, with the latest blow being the removal of OnePlus devices from Best Buy stores in favor of Nothing Phones.

Users on Reddit noticed recently that their local Best Buy stores had removed OnePlus devices from displays. OnePlus has never had a major presence in these stores, but it was a final “stronghold” following the end of the brand’s US carrier partnerships a few years ago.

Speaking to Jeff Moore of Wave7 Research, a research firm that is particularly observant in regards to US carrier and retail storefronts as regards to smartphones, the absence of OnePlus was noted in recent weeks with Nothing taking up the absent space.

Nothing Phone (3) and Phone (4a) Pro are now showing up in Best Buy locations where OnePlus devices once were. An image captured by Wave7 in October 2025 shows OnePlus devices on the unlocked smartphone display alongside Samsung, Motorola, Google Pixel, and Blu smartphones. This is a section of the store independent of individual brand displays that are usually in place for Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and iPhone lineups. Wave7 provided 9to5Google with images of a Best Buy unlocked display in Kansas, where Samsung and Google Pixel logos were also removed (presumably in favor of the dedicated displays for those brands), with the same changes also seen at a store in California.
