Spotify is toasting to two decades with several new features, including a special logo on its app.The music streaming platform's mobile app icon transformed into a disco ball on May 14 as the company marks its 20th birthday.The new logo replaced the signature green circle users are familiar with, though the disco ball is still centered on three curved horizontal lines.In recent weeks, Spotify has been rolling out special items as it marks its 20-year anniversary.In April, the streaming service revealed the all-time most-listened to artists, albums, songs, podcasts and audiobooks on the platform. Earlier this week, it also launched a new feature giving users a personalized look at their music history.Why is Spotify's new logo a disco ball?Spotify's new logo is seemingly a nod to the platform's 20-year anniversary. Spotify wrote on X on May 14 in response to another post about the new app icon.Earlier in the week, the platform alluded to more anniversary celebrations."It’s our 20th birthday, but the gifts are for you," Spotify wrote on X on May 12.Spotify launches 'Party of the Year' listening history featureDays before changing its logo, Spotify launched the new personalized listening history component, dubbed "Your Party of the Year(s)."The experience gives users a look at some never-before-seen listening data, including their first day on Spotify, all-time most streamed artist and all-time most-listened-to songs.Spotify users can find their "Party of the Year(s)" by searching "Spotify 20" or "Party of the Year(s)” in the mobile app or by visiting spotify.com/20 on your mobile device.
