A young man fell to his death after slipping and falling from the top of a 150ft phone mast just hours before his 21st birthday.Oskar Bialon, 20, is understood to have climbed to the top of the mast known locally as 'Newton Tower' before slipping in the wet weather conditions.The 20-year-old had been at the tower on Black Dyke in Newton-In-The-Isle, near Wisbech, on May 10, with two friends, planning how they would celebrate his milestone birthday.Emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed to the incident, but the Polish national was pronounced dead at the scene at around 11pm.It is believed the tower is a popular spot amongst youngsters in the area, with many claiming to have climbed it in the past.Tributes have since flooded in from his heartbroken loved ones who vowed to 'keep his memory living on'.His partner Ruby Ashton told the EDP: 'We have been dating for a year and we had our whole life ahead of us.'All he did was make me laugh every day and make me feel like my life was so worth living. While another friend, JK, who grew up with Oskar, said he had 'the most potential to be something great'. A GoFundMe page, which has raised more than £800, has now been set up by friend Lucas Harvey to raise funds to give Oskar 'the best send-off possible'.The fundraiser says: 'Hello, my name is Lucas. I'm raising money for my dear friend Oskar, who tragically passed away aged just 21 after falling from the Newton Tower here in our hometown — a loss that has shaken everyone who knew and loved him.'Oskar had no family close by, only his friends and those who cared for him.'We are heartbroken and still coming to terms with losing someone so young and full of life.'We started this fundraiser to give him the dignified send-off he deserves.'We aim to cover costs to bring him home to his family, or arrange everything here if his mum prefers.
