Southern Railway adds temporary AC Chair Car to Chennai-Coimbatore Shatabdi Express trains to accommodate rising passenger demand.
The Southern Railway has temporarily added one AC Chair Car each to the Chennai Central – Coimbatore and Coimbatore – Chennai Central Shatabdi Express trains to meet the increasing passenger demand.
According to a release, the additional coach has been attached to Train No. 12243 Chennai Central – Coimbatore Shatabdi Express and Train No. 12244 Coimbatore – Chennai Central Shatabdi Express.
The temporary augmentation will be in effect till July 6, 2026.
