Iranian singer Nasrollah Moein Najafabadi, widely known as Moein, has denied reports claiming he recorded a song for Iran’s national football team ahead of the upcoming World Cup in the United States.
In a statement shared on his official Instagram page, Moein said that “many rumors” about him had spread online in recent days and that they “have no connection to reality.” He directly rejected claims that he had performed a song for the national team.
Moein also said that any news related to him should only be considered credible if it is published through his official channels.
The clarification came after Mehdi Taj, head of the Iranian Football Federation, commented on the reported collaboration, saying: “We are aware of the song Moein has sung for the national team. Anyone who supports Iran has our approval.” After Taj’s remarks, reports about Moein allegedly working with the national team spread rapidly across social media platforms.
