A Russian fighter jet has dropped a high-explosive aerial bomb on railway tracks in the Yakovlevsky district in Russia's Belgorod Oblast during a combat sortie, causing an electric-powered train to derail.

Details: The incident occurred on 13 May. The FAB-500 aerial bomb did not detonate, but damaged around 25 m of railway track.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of Belgorod Oblast, said an electric-powered train travelling on the Razumnoye-Tomarovka route derailed because around two metres of track were missing. There were 15 people on the train at the time of the accident. One woman was injured and taken to hospital.
