Eurostar has cancelled dozens of trains over the French holiday weekend of Ascension, citing 'operational constraints'.

The long weekend of May 14th-17th, marking the public holiday of Ascension, is normally a busy one for train travel in France.

But passengers on the Eurostar may have to make other arrangements after the company cancelled dozens of trains.

On Wednesday five routes were showing up as cancelled, on Thursday six and Friday, Saturday and Sunday all had five cancelled trains.

The most affected route is Paris Gare du Nord to Brussels.
