Acciona expands rural electricity service in PH to 21,400 people

Acciona.org extended its “Luz enCasa” renewable electricity supply program to almost 21,400 people (+80%) in the Philippines in 2025, after expanding its activity to the province of Pampanga.

The non-profit organization brought its service, based on photovoltaic systems and batteries, to 4,435 homes, as well as small businesses, educational centers, and community centers, scattered across 103 communities in Palawan and Pampanga where such service is not guaranteed by the conventional electricity grid.

Across the Philippes, acciona.org’s impact in 2025 resulted in a significant improvement in living conditions, including:

1) Poverty reduction. 4,435 households benefited from savings on their energy expenses compared with the period prior to the service, and from additional income through the development of productive activities, totaling a positive economic impact of Php 38 million.FEATURED STORIES
