PULILAN, BULACAN, Philippines — Local officials and artists sought to relive the legacy of a local water pump, known as “Posong Malaki” (big well) to the development of the town’s communities for decades before it ran dry due to a long dry spell 20 years ago.
A replica of the artesian well was put up in the same vicinity in Barangay Poblacion here, just near the municipal hall, where it once stood. The replica was unveiled on May 9, in recognition of its cultural and historical significance.
