The Fitbit app is signing off in India.

From May 19, it becomes Google Health—a redesigned wellness app that adds an AI-powered coach built on Gemini and rolls out automatically to existing Fitbit and Pixel Watch users by May 26.The headline addition is the Google Health Coach, a 24/7 assistant that handles fitness, sleep, and general wellness in one place.

Setup begins with a quick chat about your goals, daily routine, gym access, and any injuries.

From there, the Coach builds weekly targets rather than rigid schedules, and tweaks daily suggestions based on your readiness, progress, and even the local weather.Logging is flexible.

You can snap a photo of your meal for nutritional analysis, photograph a gym whiteboard to log a workout, dictate by voice, or upload a PDF for the Coach to summarise.
