Jinko ESS has announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with key partners in Latin America for a portfolio of energy storage projects with a total capacity of 1GWh, the projects primarily designed for grid-side and utility-scale applications, aiming to enhance grid flexibility and stability.
The projects are expected to adopt the SunTera G3 6.25MWh battery energy storage system, a solution designed around safety, capacity and economic performance. In terms of safety, it establishes a full-chain active safety system, featuring multi-level protection mechanisms from cell and electrical to system levels, integrated with gas detection and AI-based early warning capabilities to enable early risk identification and rapid response. For capacity and application adaptability, the system utilizes high energy-density cells combined with an optimized thermal management design to achieve a 6.25MWh large-capacity configuration, meeting the needs of large-scale energy storage projects and diverse application scenarios. From an economic perspective, the solution is optimized across the full lifecycle, improving overall project returns by approximately 5.8%, while effectively reducing operation and maintenance costs and delivering enhanced LCOE performance and long-term value for customers.
