Andy McFadden of Michelin-starred Glovers Alley in the Fitzwilliam Hotel on St Stephen’s Green in Dublin 2 is leaving the restaurant.
In a statement issued by the restaurant, Glovers Alley said it would close on May 17th “to take the opportunity to carry out some essential works and restructure our team and leadership”.
It said it looked forward to reopening “in a number of weeks” and launching “a new and exciting version of Glovers Alley”. It did not specify a reopening date but an online booking link allows for reservations from the start of September.
Patrons holding existing bookings “were contacted directly”, a spokeswoman said, adding that ”alternative arrangements were made where possible”.
In its statement, Glovers Alley wished McFadden well.
