The initiative, part of Operation Captura, now in its 20th year, has previously led to the capture of 98 out of 111 most wanted offenders and suspects thought to be residing in Spain. Among the newly named fugitives are Alexsandr Vladimirovich Kuksov, accused of helping Russian oligarchs avoid sanctions, and murder suspects Kevin Thomas Parle and Derek McGraw Ferguson. NCA officials say that criminals often choose Spain due to its large British expatriate communities, where they attempt to blend in and continue their illicit activities, often preying on the local population. The public, particularly British expatriates and holidaymakers in Spain, is urged to review the most wanted list and provide anonymous information to Crimestoppers via dedicated phone lines or an online form.
