Adani Airport Holdings Limited and IHG Hotels & Resorts have signed an agreement to develop five hotels across airport-linked destinations in India, including the debut of luxury boutique hotel brand Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in the country.The partnership will add close to 1,500 hotel keys across multiple brands and locations, with projects planned in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram and Jaipur.The portfolio includes a Kimpton hotel in Jaipur, along with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties that will be part of Adani’s upcoming airport city developments.The companies said the partnership comes amid rising demand across India’s aviation, tourism and business travel sectors, with airport-led developments increasingly turning into hospitality and commercial hubs.“As the Adani Group expands its presence across hospitality and airport-led urban infrastructure, our vision is to create world-class destinations that seamlessly integrate travel, stay and urban experiences around India’s rapidly growing aviation ecosystem,” Pranav Adani said in a statement.IHG said the agreement would strengthen its presence in high-growth markets in India while also bringing the Kimpton brand to the country for the first time.“The partnership with Adani Airport Holdings reflects the scale of opportunity we continue to see in India’s hospitality sector, particularly across gateway cities and airport-led developments,” Sudeep Jain said.Adani Airport Holdings, India’s largest private airport operator, is developing airport city projects spread across about 663 acres across multiple cities, combining aviation infrastructure with retail, hospitality and commercial developments.IHG currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India and has a pipeline of 98 additional hotels expected to open over the next three to five years.
