Chinese citizens are reportedly posting openly critical and mocking comments about Donald Trump during his summit in Beijing.
And, highly unusually for the one-party state, government censors appear to be letting them spread.
On Wednesday, CNN’s Erin Burnett highlighted a series of viral online posts that mocked both Trump and the United States, noting that “Beijing’s strict censors are letting the ridicule go viral, which is a statement in and of itself.”
Among the comments circulating online, Burnett said, were:
“They’ll look up to us from now on.”
