Deputies responded to reports of shots fired around 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, finding two men with gunshot wounds. District Attorney General Robert Nash stated Eatherly opened fire and appeared to have shot himself in the arm during the incident. Eatherly was hospitalized, and the other unidentified man was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
