AD Ports Group, which operates industrial cities and free zones in Abu Dhabi, reported a 43 per cent annual jump in its first-quarter profit as the company focused on diversifying its trade routes amid the Iran conflict.
Net profit attributable to owners of the company for the three months to the end of March climbed to Dh497.4 million ($135.4 million), AD Ports said on Wednesday in a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, where its shares trade.
Revenue surged 25 per cent year on year to Dh5.75 billion. Finance costs also fell during the period, boosting the profit of the company.
