Alice Xu is a PhD student in developmental psychology at UCLA. She studies how people build knowledge across development, from high school and college students learning complex concepts in statistics and mathematics to young children learning new words. Her research focuses on the mechanisms that support learning and on designing technology-enhanced learning environments, including tools that leverage machine learning and large language models, to make teaching and learning more effective.
