Google is internally testing a suite of new AI models for Gemini Live, uncovered via a hidden selector in its app. Seven previously unknown voice AI options, including "Capybara" and "Nitrogen," exhibit distinct capabilities in testing. Some models access user location for weather, while others prioritize personalization, remembering past details. One model, "Capybara," even identified itself as "Gemini 3.1 Pro," diverging from the standard "Flash Live." These varied models demonstrate different levels of accuracy and memory within conversations. This extensive internal road-testing suggests Google is preparing to offer users a choice of specialized voice AI experiences, potentially unveiled at Google I/O 2026, moving beyond a single Gemini Live model.
