As expected, this week’s episode of “Euphoria” was a trip, to say the least — particularly the opening montage that chronicled Sydney Sweeney’s character Cassie’s rise to OnlyFans fame, concluding with an arguably far-too-lengthy surrealist scene where she turned into a giant.
Prior to that, we saw Cassie and her ex-best-friend-turned-manager Maddy, played by Alexa Demie, shoot incredibly x-rated content, send out Cassie’s dirty underwear to fans, and acquire an obscene amount of sex toys.
The pair were also shown utilizing ragebait to further Cassie’s public profile, with the character making a series of unhinged comments on various podcasts to appease her male audience, such as: “I just feel like American men have been treated like second-class citizens,” and that “men should be free.”
Online personality Trisha Paytas played one of these podcast hosts, and she has now revealed that her horrified response to what Cassie said was completely genuine, as she didn’t have the script to know what had been planned.
In the snippet that made it to air — which was taken from a lengthier scene that was recorded between Paytas and Sweeney — Paytas asks, as the podcast host: “Oh, so you think [men] are being too restricted by society?”
