Eric Trump on Monday drew instant backlash on social media after announcing that the Trump Organization will build a new Trump Tower in Tbilisi, Georgia, boasting it will be “the tallest building” there — and stating how “excited” he is to share an official rendering of the glitzy foreign high-rise.
“I am so excited to share the official rendering of Trump Tower Tbilisi,” President Donald Trump’s third child wrote Monday on X. “With a prime location, in the heart of Tbilisi, this tower will quickly become a landmark as the tallest building in Georgia.”
He noted, “This marks our first project in the region and we are so excited to bring it to life!”
The Trump Organization claimed on its website that the “dynamic mixed-use destination” will be 70 stories tall and feature “luxury residences, world-class dining” and various amenities. The building is purportedly being designed by the architecture firm Gensler.
Not everyone is as enthused as the president’s wealthy son about a new luxury skyscraper being built in a post-Soviet state, however, as millions of Americans continue to suffer under high costs, inflation and the economic consequences of the administration’s war on Iran.
