Andri Gudjohnsen has scored 10 goals in 39 caps for Iceland

Andri Gudjohnsen insists he can score even more goals after signing a new long-term deal with Blackburn Rovers.

The Iceland striker, who is the son of Chelsea and Bolton Wanderers great Eidur, scored seven goals in his first injury-interrupted season following his arrival from Gent last summer.

All those goals came in a purple patch between October and December and the 24-year-old wants to stay fit having only been able to appear in 25 of Blackburn's 46 Championship fixtures.

"I've really enjoyed my time here so far," he told the club website.
