Hanuman Jayanthi was celebrated with religious fervour at Hanuman temples in Tirumala on Tuesday (May 12, 2026), with scores of devotees participating in the festivities.

TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, along with Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, offered ‘Pattu Vastrams’ to the Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple at the Japali Theertam situated about five kilometres from the town amid the dense Tirumala forests.

Special pujas and rituals were observed, after which the priests presented ‘Sindhoora Vastram’ and ‘Theertha Prasadams’ to TTD Executive Officer Ravichandra and Additional EO Chowdary.

The TTD authorities also took part in the special abhishekam performed for Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy, located opposite the main temple complex, and attended the celebrations at the Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy temple situated midway along the ghat road leading to Tirupati. Special pujas were performed at the 60-foot Hanuman idol at the venue, drawing a large number of devotees, particularly pilgrims trekking to the hill shrine.
