Water supply to several areas in Thiruvananthapuram city will be disrupted from 8 a.m. on May 15, 2026 (Friday) to 8 a.m. on May 16 on account of urgent maintenance work, the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) has said.
Supply to Valiathura, Ambalathara, Vallakadavu, Kamaleswaram, Kalippankulam, Attukal, Manacaud, Sreevaraham, Poonthura, Puthenpally, Beemapally, Thampanoor, Kunnukuzhi, Vanchiyoor, Kannammoola, Pettah, Perunthanni, Chakka, Kadakampally, Karikkakom, Vettucaud, Poundkadavu, Palayam, Sasthamangalam, Vazhuthacaud, Thycaud, Valiyasala, Jagathy, Kumarapuram, Gowreesapattom, Anamugham, Plamoodu, Nanthancode, Peroorkada, Oolampara, Pipinmoodu, Kowdiar, Ambalamukku, Manammoola, Vazhayila and Indira Nagar will be totally affected.
Supply to Paruthippara, Muttada, Kesavadasapuram, Medical College and Kudappanakunnu will be partially hit.
The 72 mld and 75 mld water treatment plants at Aruvikkara will be shut down for installing a new transformer and for carrying out other maintenance works. The damaged valve on a pipeline passing through Vellayambalam will also be replaced during this period, the KWA said in a statement on Monday.
