Lisa Kudrow is sharing her hot take on one of the most infamous debates in TV history.
While appearing on "The Tonight Show," the "Friends" star gave her thoughts on the classic sitcom's "on a break" debate involving Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston). When Jimmy Fallon asked Kudrow if Ross and Rachel were on a break, the actress said, "Well, no!" But she didn't stop there.
"It's beyond that," Kudrow said. "It's beyond break or not. He was a bad boyfriend!"
Fallon's studio audience immediately burst into applause, which seemed to surprise Kudrow. "Oh, you agree!" she said. "I feel better." Kudrow added that after their "on a break" fight, Rachel "shouldn't have gotten back with [Ross], because he was horrible!"
In Season 3 of "Friends," Ross and Rachel get into a big fight, and Rachel suggests they should take a break from their relationship. Ross subsequently has sex with another woman, upsetting Rachel. Ross, though, maintains he did not cheat on Rachel because they were on a break at the time. These events frequently come up throughout the rest of the show, and Ross defensively shouting that "we were on a break" whenever Rachel mentions it becomes a running joke.
