May 7 (UPI) -- A man was arrested for public order offense and possession of a weapon near the British home of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly called Prince Andrew, was walking his dogs in Norflolk near Sandringham Estate when the man got out of his car and moved toward him while shouting, The BBC and The Guardian reported.

The former prince and his security detail rushed to get back in their car and drove away as the man allegedly ran after the car, police told reporters.

"Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offense and possession of an offensive weapon," Norfolk police said.
