MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/. Russia views Vladimir Zelensky’s threat to stage a drone attack on Moscow during the upcoming Victory Day celebrations as the Kiev regime’s intent to carry out a terrorist act, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s official spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"We consider Zelensky’s open threat to attack Moscow, the [Victory Day] parade, the May 9 holiday, veterans and guests to be an intention to stage a terror attack, a terrorist act. This is what we said openly. And we also said what our response will be. We honestly informed the entire global community about it by sending a relevant note through all possible diplomatic channels," she said.
In her words, "everything that Zelensky has done and continues to do fits fully into the flawed logic of the Kiev regime’s behavior."
"With the support of their Western curators, they stopped making a secret of their terrorist-style activities long ago," she said. "What is more, they are proud of it, and use it to secure money, loans, weapons and political support."
"Illegal attacks on Russian civilian sites and population are committed in a fruitless attempt to create as much publicity as possible. This is exactly what terrorists do. Their goal is not only to kill, but also to sow panic, to create chaos and fear. This is the logic of terrorism, and Bankovaya [the Kiev government] makes no secret of it," the spokeswoman continued.
