The Cauvery Delta Railway Passengers Association has called upon the railways to provide shelter at the parking lots in Thanjavur Railway Junction under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
In a resolution passed at its recent meeting, the association said while both vehicle parking lots on the north and south of the junction did not have proper shelter, two-wheeler owners were made to park their vehicles on uneven floor on the southern side of the junction. The railways must consider laying of paver blocks or concrete flooring as well as initiate steps for erecting shelters.
