'The Bear' to return for fifth and final season in June - UPI.com

May 6 (UPI) -- The Bear will return for a fifth and final season in June.

FX announced a June 25 premiere date for Season 5 on Wednesday, just one day after releasing a surprise prequel episode titled "Gary."

The Bear is a comedy-drama series starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri as Carmy and Syd, two talented young chefs who transform the Chicago sandwich shop previously owned by Carmy's late brother into a fine dining restaurant.

Season 5 opens with Syd (Edebiri) and Carmy's sister Sugar (Abby Elliott) picking up the pieces after Carmy quits the food industry.
