A large percentage (69%) said billionaires should be doing more to contribute to society, however, while 65% said they do not pay a fair share of taxes. Views on billionaires were taken among 1,007 of the respondents who were surveyed online. A majority of respondents (76%) disapproved of Trump’s handling of the cost of living in the U.S.Key BackgroundThe war against Iran and the subsequent rise in gas prices to four-year highs has dragged Trump’s approval rating down in recent months. The president, who initially said the conflict would last four to five weeks, vowed last week to “not leave early” as the war exceeded the two-month mark. Trump’s rising disapproval rating comes months ahead of midterms this fall in which Democrats are expected to top Republicans. Likely midterm voters surveyed in the Forbes/HarrisX poll produced a 55% disapproval rating for Trump and a 44% approval rating.
