The Princess of Wales will travel to Italy next week on her first official overseas engagement since having cancer treatment.
Her solo trip to Reggio Emilia on 13 and 14 May will support her campaign for early childhood education, where she will find out more about the city's distinctive approach to early years learning.
Her last overseas royal trip was to the US in December 2022, accompanying Prince William to Boston.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said the princess was "very much looking forward" to the visit.
Catherine would see "first-hand how the Reggio Emilia approach creates environments where nature and loving human relationships come together to support children's development", the spokesman added.
