Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel joined Port Vale from Blackpool at the start of the 2025-26 season
Port Vale defender Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel says the squad know this campaign has not been good enough and understand the importance of bouncing back to League One in 2026-27.
Vale's immediate return back to League Two has been on the cards for most of a difficult season as they ultimately finished 22nd, 10 points adrift of safety.
Saturday's 2-0 home defeat by champions Lincoln City was their third in their final four games and a 24th loss this term.
"Things haven't gone right this season and I know that the players know that and the staff know that," Lawrence-Gabriel told BBC Radio Stoke.
