President Donald Trump on Saturday lost it over Fox News putting a spotlight on Bill Maher after personalities at the the conservative network remarked on the comedian “calling out” California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a recent interview.

“Fox should stop putting this person on. He’s not representing us. You look weak, stupid, and ineffective, and I hate seeing that. DON’T USE BILL MAHER ANY LONGER AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF YOU!” wrote the president in a lengthy post to his Truth Social platform.

“I hate hearing that ‘Bill Maher said…’ — Bill Maher is a MORON, though slightly more talented than Jimmy Kimmel.”

The post arrived nearly 30 minutes after Fox News senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel, in comments on the network’s “The Big Weekend Show,” pointed to Maher taking on the governor over California’s “economic failures.”

The network flashed a chyron reading, “The Truth Hurts,” before tossing to a clip of the “Real Time” host warning Newsom that critics on “the other side” will go after him on rising gas prices, rent costs and the state’s high-speed rail project.
