Rajya Sabha member Sandeep Pathak on Sunday said he learnt through media reports that the Punjab police had registered two FIRs against him.
He added that he has received no official communication on the same.
Mr. Pathak was among seven Rajya Sabha members who quit the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), reducing the former’s strength in the House from 10 to three.
Mr. Pathak said his decision was based on “long-standing differences in ideology and work style”, and not personal reasons.
