A landowner has issued a rebuttal to allegations made by Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency Commissioner A.V. Ranganath, accusing the official of violating service conduct rules and attempting to malign his reputation over a disputed seven-acre land parcel in Bagh Amberpet.

In a press note released on Sunday, Aedla Sudhaker Reddy condemned the statements made by the Commissioner during a media briefing on Saturday. He maintained that the allegations against him and his property in Survey No. 563/1 are completely false and asserted that the matter is currently sub judice in multiple courts.

Central to Mr. Reddy’s rebuttal is his claim that Mr. Ranganath violated provisions of the All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968. He pointed specifically to Rule 8(4), which restricts public disclosure of evidence submitted in judicial proceedings, and Rule 17, which bars officials from approaching the media to defend official actions without prior government sanction. According to the landowner, the Commissioner publicly discussed evidence related to ongoing cases, despite the matters being pending before the courts.

Addressing the substance of the allegations, Mr. Reddy refuted claims that the High Court had directed him to file a declaration of title suit. He clarified that he had only filed a suit for permanent injunction, noting that the issue of title transfer has been under judicial consideration since 2007 in a specific performance suit. He asserted that he is in settled possession of the land and is seeking protection against interference by government agencies, including HYDRAA.
