A 13-year-old girl tragically died of a heart attack in Chapeli-Gavaliwada village near Joida in Uttara Kannada district on Sunday (May 3, 2026).
Gangu Gavali (13), a seventh-grade student, did not have any medical conditions or heart problems, her parents told the police. She had been playing games all day the day before her death.
She had dinner and slept on Saturday (May 2) night. She woke up in the morning and vomited. She collapsed and died soon after, the police said.
Officers from the Ramanagar police station visited her home and further investigations are on.
