Elections in all 285 polling booths of West Bengal’s Falta Assembly seat will be held again on May 21, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Saturday (May 2, 2026). The votes polled in the constituency will be counted on May 24. This comes after a repoll was held at 15 booths, and Falta witnessed protests by villagers who alleged they were receiving life threats from TMC workers in the area.

On Monday (May 4, 2026), results will be declared for the other 293 of the 294 Assembly seats in West Bengal.
On Friday (May 1, 2026), the ECI ordered a re-election in 15 polling stations of two Assembly seats in West Bengal -- Diamond Harbour and Magarhat Paschim.
The West Bengal Assembly polls were held in two phases on April 23 and April 29. The counting of votes for the remaining seats is scheduled to be taken up on May 4.
