The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday (May 1, 2026) accused the Delhi government of having compelled middle-class families to buy expensive uniforms, books and stationery ahead of the upcoming session. It hit out at CM Rekha Gupta for “putting on a show of school inspections”.

“Everything that was to be sold has already been sold. If the CM truly wants to act, she should act against increased school fees,” said AAP’s Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj.
