Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday night called out President Donald Trump for making a joke about his own mortality just one day after he called for Kimmel to be fired for making a similar joke.

During his remarks welcoming King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the White House earlier in the day, Trump noted that his parents had been married for 63 years.

“That’s a record we won’t be able to match, darling,” Trump, who turns 80 in June, said to first lady Melania Trump, 56, who was sitting just behind him. “I’m sorry. Just not gonna work out that way.”

“Wait a minute!” Kimmel said after playing the clip. “Did he just make a joke about his death? My God! He should be fired for that.”

The president and the first lady said Kimmel should lose his job over a joke he made last week that was not too dissimilar.
