Former Minister and chief of Prahar Janshakti Party, Bacchu Kadu, on Thursday (April 30, 2026) joined Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He was declared as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Legislative Council elections. He filed his nomination papers thereafter.
This comes a day after he had hinted that he was open to an alliance with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena if it stood for farmers’ issues and the concerns of people with disabilities (PwD).
