Two lucky people won the $143 million April 29 Powerball jackpot, and nearly 90 more across 20 states won the Powerball's $2 million and $1 million prizes.
The jackpot, which has a cash value of $65.2 million, was won by two lucky people in Kansas and Indiana, according to Powerball's website. Once they claim their prizes, they can choose to receive annuitized payments or a one-time lump-sum amount.
The win marks the fourth time a player beat the odds and won the Powerball jackpot in 2026. The first occurred on Jan. 21, when a player from North Carolina won the $209.3 million prize, according to Powerball. The second 2026 grand prize, a $250.8 million jackpot, was won in Arkansas on March 2, and the third occurred less than a month ago, on April 6, when someone from Delaware won the $231 million jackpot.
While only two people won the jackpot, 89 more became millionaires after 27 won the Match 5 + Power Play $2 million prize, and another 62 won the Match 5 $1 million prize.
