A court in Meghalaya on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) reserved its order on the bail plea filed by Raj Kushwaha, one of the key accused in the murder of Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi in the northeastern State last year.
Kushwaha is the alleged boyfriend of Raghuvanshi's wife Sonam, another accused who was granted bail on Tuesday (April 28) by the district and sessions court of Meghalaya's East Khasi district.

Raghuvanshi went missing on May 23 last year during the couple’s honeymoon, and his mutilated body was found on June 2 from a deep gorge near a waterfall in Sohra area of East Khasi Hills district. Sonam and several others, including her alleged boyfriend, were arrested in the case.
Counsel for Kushwaha, P. Yobin, said the court has reserved its order, and a decision is expected soon.
