Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to ensure that all government services are available online by December this year, adding that the move aims to enhance accessibility and eliminate the need for citizens to do the rounds of the government offices.Reviewing Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) operations at his camp office on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu emphasised the expansion of ‘WhatsApp Governance’ under the Mana Mitra initiative to all public services.The officials informed him that 1,035 services are being delivered through WhatsApp at present, benefiting over 54 lakh citizens with 1.78 crore transactions so far. Additionally, awareness programs have been organised for more than 24 lakh people on how to access these services.On infrastructure development, officials said that the Phase-1 works of the Drone City proposed in Kurnool district are progressing rapidly.Land allocation has already been completed for eight companies, and ground-level work is expected to begin by the second week of May. The Chief Minister directed that the Phase-1 development works should be completed by July.Highlighting public safety measures, officials said that Andhra Pradesh has one of the most extensive CCTV surveillance networks in the country, aiding in crime control, tracking missing persons, and solving vehicle theft cases.Mr. Naidu instructed the officials to integrate data from privately installed CCTV cameras in uncovered areas and create awareness on their use.He stressed the importance of leveraging satellite data for governance. Directing officials to link satellite information with the RTGS, he said such integration will enable real-time monitoring and faster response to emergencies.Referring to the recent forest fire in the Seshachalam hills, he noted that quicker response mechanisms could have been possible with better data integration.Referring to the supply of fuel, Mr. Naidu said the situation had returned to normal following immediate intervention by the government.
