There’s nothing like Major League Baseball. The crack of the bat. The roar of the crowd. And grown-ass men stealing baseballs from kids.

Exhibit A for this season (watch it below) shows a fan dropping a home run hit by the Cleveland Guardians’ Daniel Schneemann on Monday. The fan then appeared to grab the ball away from a little girl who had recovered it.

The spectacle didn’t go unnoticed by the visiting Tampa Bay Rays’ broadcast team.

“Noooo, he’s not gonna steal that? And then he was proud of it ... Give that ball back. C’mon,” the announcers said.

The ball bandit advertised on his now-deleted social media that he did give the ball back many innings later. That was confirmed by the girl’s mom ― but he had already become a social media pariah.
