Alex Jones, the founder of the far-right Infowars conspiracy network, is set to lose his empire for spreading lies about the victims of a school shooting. He continued to prove this week that he has no remorse.

In a Wednesday broadcast on the network, mere days after shirtlessly airing his grievances about being defamed, Jones again lied about the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, which left 20 children and six adults dead.

“Oh yeah, all a big setup,” Jones said. “Because they killed those kids with professional shooters, and that’s what they don’t want coming out. It’s in the police reports. There was a pile of kids in the bathroom in a pyramid with no blood.” He falsely belabored his point further, saying, “Kids are saying guys are running back and forth in camo, shooting through the windows. That’s in the police reports that they don’t want you to see, oh, that was in there too.”

Jones knows the lies he has spread about the Sandy Hook families have led to unimaginable harassment. It’s why, in 2022, he was court-ordered to pay roughly $1 billion to several families of those who died in the shooting.

During two separate trials in Texas and Connecticut, families held Jones accountable for the lies he peddled ― lies that made him a fortune.
