A fire broke out at the departure block on the first floor of the busy Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) on Sunday (April 26, 2026). No casualties were reported, though some furniture and books were gutted in the mishap. Fire department personnel rushed to the spot and quickly doused the flames. Authorities from the Fire Services said a short circuit was suspected to be the cause of the fire.
