The Cyberabad Police with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) launched a new outreach initiative titled “Coffee with a COP” aimed at fostering dialogue with young adults and working professionals.
The inaugural session brought together students, start-up founders and corporate employees, and was attended by TGCSB Director Shikha Goel. The programme is designed as a monthly platform to encourage interaction between the police and the community, particularly Gen Z.
Addressing participants, Goel emphasised the importance of safety in both physical and digital spaces, cautioning against online frauds such as suspicious links, fake investment schemes and digital arrest scams. She urged citizens to remain vigilant and avoid sharing money or personal information with unknown individuals.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh said ongoing infrastructure projects in the region are expected to improve traffic flow over the next two years. He highlighted the role of community participation in ensuring safety and responsible behaviour on roads and online.
Awareness stalls set up at the venue showcased traffic management tools, cybercrime prevention measures and initiatives related to women’s safety, anti-narcotics efforts and victim support services.
