Sampigehalli police have filed an FIR against two people in connection with the case of a 45-year-old businessman who allegedly took his own life on Thursday (April 23, 2026) near northeast Bengaluru.

The deceased has been identified as Vivekananda. His wife has alleged that two investors in his business had been harassing him to return their money, which could have led him to take the extreme step.

According to the police, Vivekananda had gone to an apartment complex that was recently completed. He entered the premises on the pretext of looking for a flat to buy.

An investigator in the case said that Vivekananda’s belongings, including his mobile phone and wallet, were found on the 17th floor.
