Maddali Lakshmi Narayana Rao, professor from the Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanupur, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT)-Andhra Pradesh, for a period of three years.

Similarly, Giridhar Madras, senior professor from the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad, and Gaddam Vijaya Prakash, professor from the Department of Physics, IIT Delhi, have been appointed as Directors of RGUKT-A.P., Srikakulam and RK Valley campuses, respectively for a period of three years.

The appointments were made by the Governing Council of RGUKT-A.P., a technical university established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2008, to cater to the education needs of rural youth of Andhra Pradesh. The university currently operates across four main campuses: Nuzvid, RK Valley, Ongole and Srikakulam.
